Role Overview
Finance Manager will provide a qualified Accountant broad exposure to various parts of the Finance function, including group consolidation, year-end group reporting, analysis of group balances and higher-level reporting.
In addition, you will also be responsible for improving internal processes, policies and reporting. SAP S4 Hana was implemented 3 years ago with various improvement projects ongoing.
Responsibilities
* Preparation of year-end financial statements for the group in accordance with FRS102
* Consolidation of group financial statements
* Handling the coordination of monthly reporting and submissions for the group
* Analysing group consolidated balance sheet accounts
* Assisting with the preparation of the monthly Board pack
* Ensure the balance sheet reconciliations are correct and that group intercompany balances agree at month end
* Supporting the Auditors with the financial audit and ensuring all deadlines are met
* Responsibility for payroll processes (outsourced providers for the UK, US and ROW)
* Ownership of relationship with external US accountants who maintain the books for our US entity
* Preparation of quarterly group VAT return
* Ad-hoc project work relating to technical accounting
* Supporting the financial controller where necessary.
Skills and Experience
* Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA), with a strong technical accounting skill set i.e., IFRS, FRS 102
* Currently in Practice, or a Financial Accountant / Finance Manager in industry, and looking for a broader role in a rapidly expanding international SME
* Able to demonstrate strong systems skills, evidenced by utilisation of technology to drive efficiencies within a Finance Department
* Proactive and innovative, evidenced by the implementation of new, scalable and robust financial processes
* Possess superb communication skills
* Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team
* Proficient with MS Excel
* Experienced in using SAP S/4HANA
* Practical experience with AI tools, coupled with a strong interest in leveraging AI to drive continuous improvement.
