Responsibilities
As the Lead Physiotherapist on the Acute Stroke Unit, you would be responsible for planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the physiotherapy stroke service. You will manage the team on a day-to-day basis, including a static Band 6 Physiotherapist, a rotational Band 5 Physiotherapist and a part-time Physiotherapist Assistant, providing clinical supervision, appraisals and teaching. You will carry out performance and absence management as required.
Applicants must demonstrate extensive experience at Band 6 or 7 level in stroke and ideally other neurological services. Time spent in an acute environment and a working knowledge of the current National Stroke Guidelines is essential.

Qualifications
* Degree in Physiotherapy
* HCPC Registration
* Member of Special Interest Group (e.g. ACPIN)
Experience
* Extensive stroke experience in acute NHS setting
* Participation in research, audit or clinical governance
* Experience with neurological patients in acute NHS setting
Skills
* Ability to prioritise workload and good organisational skills
* Excellent communication, including with complex and sensitive information
* Team Working and leadership skills

Knowledge
