The School and Role
Vision For Education are looking to appoint a Creative Art Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant to work with young people who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, Autism and other Learning Difficulties in Weston-Super-Mare. An ideal candidate for the role of Creative Art Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant will be someone who can work in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable and have excellent communication skills. The desired Creative Art Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant will have a passion for working with young people and be able to build rapport quickly, supporting young people in making positive choices.
Requirements
The desired Creative Art Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
1. Experience of working with secondary and primary school aged children in schools.
2. Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
3. A passion for the progress of SEND primary and secondary school pupils.
4. An ability to work as part of a team.
5. An ability to build rapport quickly with students
6. Key qualities such as: Patience, Sympathetic, Strong-willed
