Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in the London Area, United Kingdom, for a Lead Performance Chef at QPR. The Lead Performance Chef will be responsible for designing and delivering performance-focused meal plans tailored to the specific nutritional needs of players and staff. Key responsibilities include sourcing high-quality ingredients, preparing meals aligned with player performance objectives, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The role involves collaboration with nutritionists, coaching staff, and medical teams to optimize the health and performance of all players.
Qualifications
* Expertise in culinary arts, including menu planning, meal preparation, and food presentation
* Knowledge of sports nutrition principles and experience in tailoring meals for athletic performance
* Experience in team management, kitchen operations, and supplier coordination
* Proficiency in food hygiene regulations and maintaining high standards in food safety
* Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
* Ability to adapt and work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
* Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications in food safety are required
* Experience in a professional sports environment is a distinct advantage
