The integrated end-to-end rural solutions package also provides customers with the benefits of utilising Lindsay Transport’s refrigerated fleet to deliver rural supplies to farms and transporting fresh produce directly to major east coast markets.
The Role:
Our Bundaberg rural store has an opening for a Sales Agronomist. The role of Sales Agronomist is responsible for promoting and recommending products and services by providing on-farm agronomic advice related to horticulture vegetables and irrigated cropping for our key accounts.
We are very keen to chat with applicants from all levels of experience.
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Proactively market the company, products, and services by calling on targeted customers to discuss their requirements, assist in planning customer farm inputs, and maximise sales opportunities.
* Actively develop and maintain strong working relationships with current and future customers, vendor companies, and their representatives.
* Provide analytical services including soil and plant sample tests, and crop checking.
* Keep current on agronomic products, trends, and services.
* Relay competitive sales, pricing, and marketing information to management.
* Organise and attend grower meetings, field days, farm walks, displays, and exhibitions.
About You:
* Tertiary qualifications in agriculture or a related discipline.
* Agsafe Accreditation (highly desirable).
* A highly motivated, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
* Exceptional customer service & interpersonal skills.
* Professional presentation with a friendly and helpful manner.
* High-level reasoning, problem-solving, and planning skills.
* Ability to manage your own time, meet deadlines, and take responsibility for your work's quality.
