We’re seeking a commercially astute and proactive Business Development Manager to help expand our presence in the UK market. You’ll be comfortable reaching out to potential customers—whether that’s through warm introductions, strategic outreach, or simply picking up the phone. New Business Development – Identify and convert new opportunities across target sectors aligned with our sustainable packaging offering. This includes confidently engaging prospects via cold calling, email outreach, and networking.
· Technical & Consultative Selling – Understand customer challenges and provide tailored recommendations, including guidance on packaging performance, recyclability, and regulatory compliance (e.g. EPR, Plastic Packaging Tax)
· Relationship Building – Build long-term, trusted partnerships with new customers through virtual channels and in-person meetings
· Strategic Prospecting – Use insight, research, and market intelligence to prioritise high-value leads
· CRM & Pipeline Reporting – Maintain accurate activity records and contribute to forecasting and commercial planning
· 2–5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management – ideally in flexible packaging
· A working knowledge of sustainability challenges and relevant regulations such as Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and material compliance
· Commercially minded with strong organisational and CRM skills
· Understanding of flexible packaging, substrates, or material science is highly beneficial
