Are you an experienced and dynamic Employee Relations Advisor or an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys ER-based projects?
We are looking for a proactive ER Specialist to support a well-established business on a 6-month FTC basis. Reporting to the HR Director, the ER Specialist will support managers and the wider HR team through various projects and a range of ER cases.
Due to the focus of the role, this will be predominantly site-based (edge of East/West Yorkshire.) There is some flexibility around working hours. Likely 1 day a week from home will be possible.
The role is likely to be full-time, 5 days a week. However, for the right person, they would consider part-time, 4 days a week.
Role to start towards the end of June 2025. Salary c£38,000 per annum.
Key responsibilities:
Provide expert guidance and support across a range of ER cases, providing clear, consistent guidance
Advise and coach managers on best practices for managing employee relations matters
Support the resolution of complex employee issues and disputes
Lead or support investigations and hearings
Ensuring the people processes are robust, fair, and aligned with policy and employment law
Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is up to date
Assist with various HR tasks and projects across the wider HR team
Skills & Experience:
Strong background in Employee Relations, with a proven track record in resolving complex ER issues in a fast-paced environment
Confident to work independently while also supporting others
Solid knowledge of UK employment law and best practices
Highly organised and methodical approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
