At our ARU Writtle campus, we specialise in animal, environmental, agricultural and horticultural courses, for learners aged 16 to 18, adult learners, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
About The Role
ARU Writtle is seeking a dedicated Visiting Officer to join our Veterinary Nursing team. In this vital role, you will support students in their work placements by carrying out assessments, monitoring progress, and ensuring a safe and effective learning environment. You’ll work closely with employers and our teaching staff to help students thrive in their practical training.
Key Responsibilities
* Visit and assess students in veterinary practice placements.
* Act as an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) for student portfolios.
* Monitor health and safety in the workplace.
* Liaise with employers and teaching teams to support learner development.
* Assist students in preparing for End Point Assessments (EPA).
* Support course administration, record-keeping, and recruitment efforts.
What We’re Looking For
* Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) who holds Level 3 Diploma or BSc in Veterinary Nursing.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
* Confident working independently with good IT proficiency.
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous professional development.
* Assessor/Verifier qualification (A1/V1 or equivalent) desirable
To be successful in this role you will have two A levels or vocational qualification at NVQ level 3
or equivalent.
