Cyber Operational Technology – Assistant Manager
Base Location: Hybrid/UK based (core office is flexible) network of 20 offices nationally.

What will you be doing?
* Providing OT ICS Vulnerability Assessment and Remediation Services to identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate network vulnerabilities.
* Collaborating with KPMG’s OT team and wider Cyber Security capabilities to develop solutions, delivery models, and marketing strategies to expand market reach, focusing on strategy, asset discovery, vulnerability review, risk assessment, change management, continuous monitoring, and OT product implementation.
* Offering ad-hoc OT (ICS, SCADA, IIoT) expertise on design, build, and implementation of industrial control security solutions.
* Building internal relationships across KPMG’s UK Cyber and Technology Services and global firms to bring innovation to clients.
* This role may involve international travel.
What will you need to do it?
* Familiarity with industrial systems such as OT, IIoT, or industrial robotics from engineering, cybersecurity, or risk management perspectives.
* Knowledge of network architecture, capable of building network diagrams for industrial automation and control.
* Experience with Security Standards and Best Practice Guidelines.
* Awareness of IT/OT security trends and vulnerabilities.
* Flexibility, quick learning, and adaptability.
* Good time and task management skills.
* Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Skills we’d love to see / Amazing Extras:
* A Degree (Bachelor or higher) in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or similar.
* Experience with SCADA, DCS, PLC, EMS, including communication protocols like TCP/IP, Modbus, IEC 61850, OPC, OPC UA, PROFINET.
* Interest or experience in cyber security regulations like NIS, standards such as IEC 62443, NIST CSF, ISO27001.
* Experience leading high-quality work.
* Ability to develop strong relationships internally and with clients.
* Experience in critical national infrastructure sectors such as energy, water, transportation, smart cities, or manufacturing.
