RSK Group Ltd seeks an Environmental Manager to join our Geosciences division in Hemel Hempstead. The role involves advising on surface water management, compliance, and incident response across a range of development projects.
Responsibilities
* Provide environmental advice regarding surface water management and environmental incidents across a range of projects.
* Produce environmental management plans, including Pollution Prevention and Surface Water Management Plans for construction sites.
* Audit construction sites for compliance with Surface Water Management Plans.
* Advise clients on meeting UK regulatory requirements for Surface Water Management and associated waste permits/exemptions.
* Act as liaison with regulators, including the Environment Agency and National Resources Wales.
* Respond to and manage environmental incidents, including fuel/oil spillage, silt discharges, and effluent discharges.
* Provide on‑site training to clients on ecology, contamination and waste management.
* Produce quotations and tenders for new projects.
* Manage clients and projects, maintaining effective communication.
* Work in a hybrid setting, from the office 2 days per week.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2–10 years’ experience in the environmental sector.
* Strong project delivery skills within a multi‑disciplinary consultancy.
* Confident working relationship with clients and regulators.
* Track record of managing time, resources and budgets efficiently.
* Full UK driving licence.
