We are working with a leading building services contractor in South Wales who are looking to appoint an Electrical Design Manager to join their growing team. This is a senior role for someone who wants to lead electrical design delivery across major construction projects and be part of a contractor with a strong pipeline of work.

The Role
As Electrical Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the electrical design function across multiple projects, ensuring high-quality delivery from concept through to installation. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and consultants to deliver practical and compliant designs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate electrical building services design across multiple projects
Review and approve designs, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and standards
Liaise with project managers, site teams, clients, and consultants to ensure deliverable designs
Support value engineering, buildability reviews, and project cost control
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Ensure designs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Requirements
Proven experience in electrical building services design
Previous experience in a contractor, consultancy, or design & build environment
Strong knowledge of UK electrical standards and building services regulations
Experience managing or coordinating electrical design on construction projects
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Salary & Benefits
£65,000 – £75,000 per year, depending on experience
