About the Role:
As a Room Leader, you will lead a dynamic team within a busy nursery room, shaping an environment where curiosity thrives and children are encouraged to explore and learn. You'll plan and implement activities that reflect the Reggio Emilia and Curiosity Approaches, fostering children's natural curiosity and guiding them to make meaningful discoveries. he ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills to manage a team while fostering positive relationships with children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily operations of a vibrant nursery room, designing a safe, inclusive, and curiosity-led environment
* Lead and support staff, promoting a collaborative and inspiring team culture
* Plan and implement activities aligned with the Reggio Emilia and Curiosity Approaches, encouraging open-ended exploration and child-led learning
* Create awe and wonder moments that spark imagination, joy, and engagement
* Ensure all safeguarding, health, and safety policies are strictly followed
* Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed and involved in their child's journey
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Room Leader or similar role, managing a busy room and leading a team
* A genuine passion for the Reggio Emilia and Curiosity Approaches, and creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain) and excellent references
* Strong communication skills with a positive approach to working with families and staff
* A Level 3 qualification in childcare or equivalent and Paediatric First Aid
