Job Title: 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant – Year 5
Location: BD7, Bradford
Hours: 8:30am – 1:30pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Ongoing – full academic year
Do you have a calm, confident approach and a knack for turning tricky mornings into positive learning days?
We’re looking for a caring and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 5 pupil in a welcoming primary school in the BD7 area.
The Role:
* Supporting one pupil with challenging behaviour, helping them regulate emotions and stay engaged in learning.
* Building trust and consistency through patience, empathy, and structure.
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement tailored strategies.
* Helping the child access learning and develop social and emotional skills.
About You:
* Experience working with children who display challenging behaviour or additional needs.
* A calm, positive personality and strong communication skills.
* Thrive training or similar behaviour support experience is a huge plus (and if you’re not Thrive trained yet, we’ll support you to complete it for free!).
* A team player who genuinely wants to make a difference every day.
