About the Role
Staff 2000 Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to work on behalf of one of our valued clients within a Learning Disabilities Unit in the Truro and Hayle area.
This is an agency position offered on a 0 hours contract; however, the client has advised there will be high volume hours available from June onwards. The role involves supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a safe, person-centred environment.
We are looking for compassionate, reliable and experienced individuals who are passionate about delivering high standards of care and support.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Supporting service users with daily living activities
* Promoting independence and person-centred care
* Assisting with personal care where required
* Supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs
* Following care plans and risk assessments
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation
* Working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Ensuring safeguarding procedures and health & safety standards are always followed
* Providing emotional support and encouragement to service users
Requirements
Applicants must have:
* Minimum 1 year’s experience working within the care sector
* Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities preferred
* All mandatory training certificates
* Epilepsy Awareness training
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
