Job Description
3 months contract with local authority
* Monitoring and reviewing the quality and effectiveness of standards of care provided by foster carers
* Chairing independent annual and ad hoc fostering review meetings
* Identifying strengths and gaps in the social work foster care assessment process
* Providing support to foster carers and challenging practices that do not deliver good outcomes
* Providing an independent view of the strengths and weaknesses of foster carers and their support
Requirements
Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification and Registration with Social Work England
* Ability to develop effective liaison with Children's Fostering Team
* Knowledge of relevant statutory provisions and the council’s constitution, processes, and procedures
* Ability to establish and develop effective working relationships and partnerships
* Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures

Requirements: Full-time availability for a year Ability to work 36 hours per week Resilient and able to thrive in challenging situations Attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills Comfortable with confrontation and able to deal with difficult situations Availability for out-of-hours meetings and lone working Daily use of a car and a full driving license
