Our client is seeking an Accounts Officer to support a portfolio of client accounting activities. The role is ideally suited to someone with a few years' experience who is looking to continue their professional development.
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
* Preparing trust and company accounts in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
* Performing bookkeeping to support accounts preparation.
* Reviewing financial records, including bank and investment reconciliations.
* Preparing financial reports including monthly, quarterly and annual statements.
* Maintaining records to meet tax and regulatory filing deadlines.
* Supporting colleagues and providing cover within the accounting team.
* Liaising with investment managers, banks and professional contacts where required.
* Assisting with projects and ad hoc assignments.
* Maintaining knowledge of compliance and anti-money laundering practices.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have around 2-3 years' experience within an accounting environment and be studying or part-qualified in a relevant qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CAT or AAT, with a strong desire to continue their studies. They will demonstrate good technical understanding of bookkeeping and accounts preparation, along with strong attention to detail and organisational skills. The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential, alongside strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach. The successful individual will be motivated to develop their skills and build a long-term career within accounting.
