Rate of Pay: £14 per hour
The aim of the job is to assist with my morning routine enabling me to start the day off and live an independent life. I am a male in my mid 30’s and paralysed from the shoulder down having suffered a spinal cord injury. This means that I require assistance in all aspects of my life.
Responsibilities
* Assist with basic moving and handling tasks, including transfers from bed to chair and vice versa
* Provide personal care duties such as washing and brushing teeth
* Support my live-in PA with a variety of tasks as needed
* Assist for 3 hours each morning from 8.15am, ideally 4 mornings per week with occasional weekend work
Requirements
* Physically able to carry out moving and handling duties
* Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme or willing to join
* No previous experience required; willing to learn on the job after paid shadow shifts
Holiday pay is also offered along with a rate of pay increase after 6 months.
