What you’ll be doing
1. Own and contribute to the delivery of specific components and tasks within projects.
2. Engage and foster relationships with the customer, suppliers, professional networks, and subject matter experts.
3. Lead the creation of high-level designs and architectures for platforms, that could include on-prem, cloud or hybrid solutions, and that deliver against customer requirements.
4. Be hands on in the design, development, and testing of the solution. This could include the specification of the system, choice of technologies, creation of data models, implementation, configuration, development, and testing.
5. Ensure security requirements are met with the solutions that are created.
6. Provide some third line support to deployed cloud-based solutions.
7. Actively contribute to team knowledge sharing, performing mentoring and coaching.

What we'd like to see on your CV
You’ll definitely:
13. Be self-driven, able to get to grips with new technology when needed and demonstrate independent research and learning.
14. Demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities and able to work through issues in a logical manner, documenting solutions as required.
15. Have in-depth technical knowledge of the Linux Operating System.
16. Understand and have experience of Infrastructure-as-code, Configuration Management, and automation tools (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, Terraform or similar).
17. Understand network architecture: routing, switching, firewalls & VLANs.
You might even:
18. Have knowledge of big data architectures and experience designing new big data solutions.
19. Have knowledge of cloud and hybrid data processing architectures.
20. Have a range of skills in scripting and the Python programming language.
21. Have experience of working and leading tasks using a DevOps way of working.
22. Have experience of owning the delivery of projects against Time, Cost and Quality metrics.
