We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of the organisation.
Responsibilities
* Manage accounts payable and ensure timely processing of invoices
* Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
* Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
* Maintain accurate records using accounting software such as Sage
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
* Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations
* Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
* Deal with customers and arrange delivery
* Create invoices/credit notes
Experience
* Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
* Proficiency in accounting software, Sage
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reporting
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not essential
