Overview
We are seeking a Highways Engineer / Transport Planner to support the Development Management Implementation (DMI) Team at Tetra Tech, working in partnership with Hertfordshire County Council (HCC). This role involves supporting highway and transport scheme development for the public sector and developers, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities
* Support the development and review of highway schemes and transport assessments.
* Assist in providing pre-application advice to developers on transport and highways matters.
* Collaborate with team members to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
* Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD for scheme design and documentation.
Requirements
* Experience in highway design or transport planning, supporting development schemes.
* Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD.
* Desirable experience in preparing or reviewing transport assessments and planning applications.
* Good communication skills, collaborative approach, and ability to deliver work on time.
* Qualified with HNC/HND/Degree or Masters in civil engineering, transport planning, or related fields.
* Membership of a professional body such as ICE or CIHT is advantageous.
