Training & Qualifications
Essential criteria
* A Bachelor's Degree honours, at least 2:2 in a relevant science subject
* Full accreditation with College and Society for Clinical Vascular Science, Accredited Vascular Scientist (AVS)
* Masters Level postgraduate qualification in Vascular Ultrasound (PG Dip/Cert/MSc),
Desirable criteria
* A Masters Level postgraduate qualification in Vascular Ultrasound from a CASE accredited University training programme (PG Dip/Cert/MSc),
* Registration with HCPC.
Skills
Essential criteria
* Good administrative skills, including telephone communication, computer literate (including using Microsoft applications such as Word, Outlook, Excel, and power-point) & using databases
Desirable criteria
* Familiar with Hospital Information systems such as CRIS or PACS
* Effective teaching and training & supervisory skills
Experience
Essential criteria
* Experience of performing full Vascular Ultrasound Investigations including leg arterial, aorta, carotid, venous reflux assessments and ABPI
Desirable criteria
* 3 or more years full time experience of performing leg arterial, aorta, carotid, venous reflux assessments and ABPI
* Experience of performing DVT, Upper limb venous and arterial, temporal artery & AAA EVAR surveillance

Disclosure and Barring Service Check
Please note if you are successful in obtaining this position and the post involves regulated activity you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service check.
The Trust will pay for the check initially and the money will then be deducted from your salary over a three month period commencing on your first month's payment.
The current price of a check is £38 for an enhanced and £18 for a standard check.
COVID 19 Risk Assessment
Due to the current Covid pandemic we have introduced a staff risk assessment into our pre-employment process. This now forms part of the mandatory pre-employment checks that will be carried out if you receive a conditional offer.
