Parking and Transport Coordinator (KD13473) - Bath, BA2 7AYThis role is eligible for the Campus Services New Starter Bonus* (£1,000) and Campus Services Refer a Friend bonus*. About the RoleThis is an exciting chance to join a leading UK university in a key operational position that keeps our campus moving. As our Parking & Transport Coordinator, you’ll play a central role in ensuring our parking and transport services run smoothly, efficiently and sustainably.You’ll take ownership of our paperless permit system, oversee student and staff parking, and work closely with transport partners including bus operators, EV suppliers and micro mobility providers. You’ll also support the University’s sustainable future travel plan and provide first‑line supervision to a Parking Warden and a Transport Customer Liaison Officer.This role is hands‑on and varied — one day you may be analysing parking data or improving processes, the next you could be meeting external partners or responding to operational needs across campus. The post sits within Security Services and is supported by the Security senior management team.This is a full‑time, permanent role, working 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at the Claverton Down campus. Some remote working is possible by agreement, and occasional visits to off‑campus sites will be required.Key responsibilities include:Managing day‑to‑day student, staff and visitor parkingOverseeing the paperless permit system and monitoring usageSupporting sustainable transport initiativesLiaising with bus, EV and micromobility providersDelivering excellent customer service and managing queriesMaintaining accurate records, producing reports and supporting auditsSupporting budget tracking and ensuring operational complianceAbout YouYou will be someone who:Brings experience in resolving complaints and handling sensitive or challenging customer situationsHas a strong background working with stakeholders and third‑party contractorsCan support budget management or financial tracking with accuracyIs highly organised and able to manage priorities in a fast‑paced environmentCommunicates clearly and professionally, both in writing and verballyDelivers excellent customer service and manages expectations confidentlyUses Microsoft Office comfortably and adapts easily to bespoke operational systemsFurther InformationFor an informal discussion about the role please contact Mike Porter, Head of Security Services on mjp58@bath.ac.uk, however please ensure that you submit your application through the university website.Campus Services New Starter bonus*.
