CNC Setter-Operator / Metal Roller
Pay: £14 £18 per hour (depending on experience) Temp to Perm

Were looking for an experienced CNC Setter-Operator/Metal Roller to join our fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist to work with precision engineering equipment, ensuring top-quality components for a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC machines and metal rolling equipment, including selecting tools, loading materials, programming machines, and adjusting settings for optimal performance.
* Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and specifications to determine fabrication steps, sequences, and tolerances.
* Quality Control: Perform rigorous inspections of finished components using precision measuring tools (micrometres, calipers, etc.) to ensure all parts meet engineering standards.
* Metal Rolling: Operate both CNC and manual metal rolling machines to form components to precise specifications.
* Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify and resolve production issues, perform routine maintenance on machines, and ensure smooth operations.
* Documentation: Complete inspection sheets, work orders, and other paperwork for traceability and accuracy.
* Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all safety protocols, wear PPE, and maintain a clean and organised work area.
* Collaboration: Work closely with designers, quality control specialists, and team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum of 2 years experience as a CNC Setter-Operator or Metal Roller.
* Proven ability to program and adjust CNC machines.
* Proficiency in reading technical drawings and understanding GD&T.
* Experience using precision measurement equipment for quality checks.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Physical stamina to work in a factory environment and handle machinery safely.
