Job Title: PLC Engineer
Location: Manchester
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a talented PLC Engineer to join our client's dynamic team and help drive innovation in automation projects. You will deliver cutting-edge automation solutions across industries such as manufacturing, energy, or automotive.
As a PLC Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain PLC systems to ensure seamless operation of automated processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that optimize efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, program, test, and maintain PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, etc.)
* Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime
* Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers on automation projects
* Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including schematics, control logic, and operation manuals
* Participate in commissioning and start-up of new machinery and systems
* Implement process improvements to enhance performance and efficiency
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
Skills & Experience:
* Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field
* Proven experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting
* Strong knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems, industrial networks, and sensors/actuators
* Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
