Job Summary
Senior Project Manager – Danaher Affinity Reagent Autonomous Laboratory – Cambridge, UK. Responsible for delivering a cutting‑edge AI‑driven antibody discovery platform at Abcam.
Responsibilities
* Support the establishment of the automated, data‑driven antibody discovery platform by building and maintaining integrated project plans, creating milestones, managing dependencies, risks and ensuring predictable delivery across workstreams (automation & data, molecule design, production).
* Coordinate cross‑functional execution: align priorities, track progress, unblock issues, and ensure clear hand‑offs between teams so materials, methods, and data move smoothly through the pipeline.
* Ensure strong project governance and communication through status reporting, decision/action logs, clear documentation and stakeholder updates, enabling teams to deliver fast without compromising quality.
* Present progress, risks and decisions to senior leadership and other stakeholders confidently.
* Act as cross‑company coordinator, aligning priorities with vendors, partners, CROs, and driving decisions across different organizations and ways of working.
* Maintain clear governance (actions, decisions, risks) while handling confidential information and negotiating practical solutions in a fast‑moving environment.
Qualifications
* Project management qualifications and proven experience delivering complex scientific/technical programs with senior stakeholder visibility.
* Strong communication, judgement, and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience supporting the build‑out of automated and/or AI‑enabled life science platforms (workflow standardisation, automation enablement, data capture readiness, operational rollout).
* Experience running formal cross‑company governance (steering meetings, decision logs, change control) and maintaining momentum across senior stakeholder groups.
* Experience with commercial delivery mechanics (statements of work, purchase orders, budget tracking, milestone‑based vendor management, and managing scope changes with partners).
* Familiarity with the Danaher Business System or similar business improvement and project management tools.
