The Role
As a Learner Engagement Officer, you will play a key role in learner recruitment, learner engagement, and enrolling adults onto funded Adult Education Budget (AEB) courses and skills bootcamps.
You will develop strong partnerships with community organisations, Job Centres, and referral partners, helping to identify and recruit individuals who can benefit from adult education and employability programmes.
Key responsibilities include:

Recruiting learners and promoting AEB courses and employability programmes

Building and maintaining strong relationships with Job Centres, community organisations, and referral partners
*
Identifying and engaging unemployed or under-employed adults who can benefit from education and training
*
Supporting the enrolment process and learner onboarding
*
Acting as a key point of contact for learners, providing Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG)
*
Supporting the delivery of learner recruitment campaigns and engagement strategies
*
Organising community outreach activities, recruitment events, and learner engagement sessions
*
Monitoring recruitment activity and reporting against monthly learner recruitment targets and KPIs
*
Maintaining accurate learner records and enrolment data
*
Supporting learners throughout their journey by providing guidance, encouragement, and signposting support
*
Keeping up to date with AEB funding rules, policies, and adult education requirements

Experience working within Adult Education, Employability, or Skills Training

Experience in Learner Recruitment, Learner Engagement, Outreach, or Enrolling learners onto courses

Knowledge of Adult Education Budget (AEB) programmes or skills bootcamps
*
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
*
Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills

Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team

Good IT skills and digital literacy, including Microsoft Office
Desirable

Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) qualification or willingness to work towards one
