Job Description
To assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within the Health and Social Care Partnerships Plan and the Community Plan.
East Ayrshire Council is holding 5 Modern Apprentice Information Sessions to provide more information about these apprenticeships. The sessions are scheduled as follows:
1. 2 sessions on 27th August 2025: 2pm-3pm and 4pm-5pm at SL33 in Kilmarnock.
2. 2 sessions on 28th August 2025: 2pm-3pm and 4pm-5pm at Rothesay House in Cumnock.
3. 1 online session via Microsoft Teams on 28th August 2025: 7pm-8pm.
All sessions will include:
* Insight into EAC Health and Social Care Service
* Speakers from the Health and Social Care Service
* Core Skills / Meta Skills information
* Health and Social Care Training evaluations
* Awareness of the SQA qualification

Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member or have an existing membership, with a PVG Scheme Record Update, before a formal offer of employment can be made. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
Applicants must be residents of East Ayrshire, aged 16-24, or up to 29 if care experienced or disabled. There are 6 positions across East Ayrshire Council's Health and Social Care Partnership - Adult Services, divided among:
* Adult Day Services
* Care at Home Services (with 10% shift allowance)
* Reablement Services (with 12.5% shift allowance)
All candidates will undertake the Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 6 qualification. Pay rates are £10.00 for 16-20-year-olds, £12.21 for 21-24-year-olds, and £12.60 for 25+ year olds, plus applicable shift allowances.
