Salary:
* PAYE: £28.35 per hour
* Umbrella: £37.14 per hour

Network Recruitment Wales is recruiting Social Workers (Grade 11) to join the Children’s Care and Support Team based in Brecon. This 12-week temporary role has arisen due to recruitment challenges and offers the chance to make a real difference to children and families across Powys.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive service, offering flexible hybrid working and competitive pay rates.
----------------------------------- What You’ll Do:
* Deliver high-quality statutory social work services to children and families in line with legislation and best practice.
* Undertake assessments, care planning, and reviews to promote positive outcomes for children.
* Manage a varied caseload, ensuring safeguarding and welfare needs are met.
* Prepare clear, accurate case records and reports for internal reviews, panels, and court proceedings where required.
* Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-agency partners to support children effectively.
* Participate in supervision, team meetings, and service development activities.
----------------------------------- What We’re Looking For:
* A qualified Social Worker with a Degree/Diploma in Social Work.
* Registration with Social Care Wales (essential).
* Strong knowledge of childcare legislation, safeguarding, and care planning.
* Experience working within Children’s Services, ideally in Care and Support teams.
* Excellent communication, report-writing, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment.

* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Enhanced DBS clearance.
* Social Care Wales registration.
* 5 years of references / work history.
* Signed Confidentiality Agreement (on offer acceptance).
