We are seeking a skilled full-time Chef/kitchen assistant to join our team in preparing delicious meals and overseeing kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
PAY- Depending on your experience you will be paid up to £13.00ph, again this will be depending on your experience.
Work schedule/hours-your working hours will be from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the latest with average 35 hours per week, NO NIGHTS OR SPLIT SHIFTS.
Duties:
- help with the running of the kitchen in the head chefs absence
- Cook and present high-quality dishes with attention to detail
- Assist in menu planning and development
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Manage kitchen inventory and control costs effectively
- Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen team members
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
Requirements:
- Some experience as Chef or similar role within the hospitality industry
- Proficient in all aspects of food preparation, production, and presentation
- Excellent understanding of culinary techniques and practices
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a kitchen environment
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or relevant field is desirable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
