About the role
The Project Manager will play a key role in leading the development and delivery of place-making strategies and regeneration projects aimed at enhancing the attractiveness, functionality and prosperity of the district. You will be responsible for managing project teams, securing external funding, and fostering strategic partnerships to ensure the success of development initiatives. This role involves working with both internal teams and external partners to create resilient, prosperous communities.
About you
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in project management, regeneration, and place-making. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to lead project teams, manage complex projects, and deliver positive outcomes within the public and private sectors. You should possess a strong understanding of local government governance, funding mechanisms, and the regeneration landscape, particularly in relation to commercial, and mixed-use developments.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with a passion for making a tangible impact in the community. You will need to be a strategic thinker, able to adapt to changing priorities, and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including elected members, local businesses, and community groups.
You must be able to manage budgets and secure external funding for projects, whilst ensuring that all activities align with the Council’s policies and procedures.
