We do not discriminate against any person because of gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religion, belief or disability.THE ROLEThe Mechanical Technician forms a key part of the on-site Maintenance team tasked with helping to ensure plant availability through a combination of reactive and preventative maintenance works across a range of equipment and machinery.The position reports into the site based Maintenance Manager.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFault finding and maintaining of plant mechanical equipmentWorking in line with maintenance techniques and best practicesUndertaking / assisting in plant developments & projectsWorking in accordance with the Evero Safety Rules, actively managing the subcontractors with the setting to work process and supervising contractorsAssist in outage planning, scheduling and coordinationWorking with the company CMMS (Maximo) to assure accurate maintenance records, and comprehensive asset data informationREQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCESWe are open to considering applicants from a range of different industry backgrounds, it's not essential to have prior experience in the Waste-to-Energy field.We would however expect suitable applicants to have prior experiences of at least some of the following;A recognised engineering qualification at ONC/City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 Mechanical qualifications (or equivalent experience)Previous experience in an Energy from Waste facility, or power generation, or equivalentAble to demonstrate experience in maintenance and repair of a wide and varied range of mechanical systems, including rotating equipmentKnowledge and practical experience of large Conveyors, Chain Drives, Hydraulics, Shredders, Overhead Cranes and PneumaticsDemonstrable experience working with Permit-to-Work systemsPlease note that we do not welcome any agency / 3rd party involvement or approaches on this vacancy until a time we deem to be suitable and at which point we will work with our preferred suppliers only.
