Salary: £30,000 - £32,500 (depending on skills and experience)

As a Life Claims Assessor, you will make fair and balanced claims decisions within industry guidelines and our client's claims philosophy. Timely and accurate decisions are critical, using appropriate evidence.
You will have daily interactions with customers, intermediaries, and service providers via written communication and telephone.
What we expect from you:
* Manage individual protection claims from initial notification to final settlement within your authority level and service standards.
* Assess claims in accordance with the client’s claims philosophy and policy terms.
* Communicate with members, clients, healthcare providers, service providers, intermediaries, reinsurers, and FOS as needed to:
* Obtain additional information for claims or inquiries.
* Explain claims requirements and decisions.
* Handle appeals and complaints.
* Build and maintain relationships with intermediaries and service providers.
* Contribute ideas to improve the claims process, ensuring it remains innovative and forward-thinking.
* Collaborate with other departments like Group Claim Assessors, Underwriting, Actuarial, and Client Services to understand the business and promote best practices.
Key requirements:
* Recent experience assessing claims for life underwritten protection products.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* A proactive, customer-focused attitude with a 'can-do' approach.
