Midlands Based | Salary: £45,000-£60,000

Are you an experienced Estimator with a background in Main Contracting?
Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an Estimator to join a professional and growing construction contractor specialising in healthcare, commercial, and education projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit and forward-thinking pre-construction team working on a variety of refurbishment and construction schemes ranging from small works through to multi-million-pound projects.

Qualifications
Essential:
* 3–5 years Estimating experience within a Main Contracting environment
* Experience within healthcare, commercial, or education sectors
* Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office
* Strong organisational, negotiation, and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
* Degree qualified or construction-related qualification
* Good understanding of JCT / NEC Forms of Contract
* SMM7 and/or NRM experience
Roles & Responsibilities
* Reviewing tender documentation to identify subcontract and material requirements
* Preparing and issuing subcontract tender enquiries
* Assessing and aligning subcontractor quotations
* Producing competitive tender submissions using subcontract pricing and first-principal pricing methods
* Identifying pricing gaps and compiling labour, plant, and material costings
* Producing take-offs for general construction works including flooring, ceilings, and partitions
* Preparing tender stage programmes
* Pricing project preliminaries including welfare, waste management, and site protection requirements
* Identifying and compiling tender qualifications and exclusions
* Assisting the wider pre-construction team to ensure deadlines are achieved
* Attending site visits and undertaking tender surveys nationwide when required
* Maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the tender process
Requirements
* As Estimator, you will also be expected to:
* Work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude
* Be flexible to travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays
* Show commitment to professional development and industry knowledge
* Be eligible to work within the UK
* Successfully complete an Enhanced DBS check as part of onboarding
