Job Description Senior DevOps Engineer (SC Cleared) Rate: Up to £100 an hour Start: January 2026 Location: Hybrid – Must be willing to attend London site as required Clearance: Active SC clearance required We are supporting a high-impact public sector AI/data platform project delivering secure, on-prem and cloud-based solutions. The project involves building scalable infrastructure and enabling GenAI capabilities such as LLMs, vector stores, and advanced data pipelines to support next-generation decision-making and insights. We’re seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer who can provide both technical leadership and hands-on delivery. You’ll be working closely with both internal and client teams to establish best-in-class DevOps practices and mentor a small team of junior engineers and civil servants. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a small, less experienced client-side DevOps team Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure Present technical updates to stakeholders and support key decision-making Work collaboratively in a hybrid, agile environment Contribute to secure, scalable deployments of GenAI and data-driven tools Produce clear and maintainable documentation of configurations and processes Essential Skills: 5 years' experience in DevOps with a strong track record of delivery Strong Azure cloud expertise (VMs, networking, Key Vault, APIM, etc.) Experience with on-premises open-source components and containerized environments Proven leadership, communication, and mentoring capabilities Familiarity with data pipelines, vector stores, and GenAI/LLM integration Excellent documentation and team collaboration skills Technical Stack: Azure Cloud Services (incl. Azure DevOps, ACR, Functions, Logic Apps) Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Argo CD Kubernetes (AKS), Docker, Helm Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Azure Monitor Security tools: SonarQube, Trivy, Checkov, ZAP GenAI integration tools and vector stores (desirable) If you are interested in this exciting DevOps Engineer opportunity with a leading aircraft manufacture based in London, please apply with your up-to-date CV.
