Were keenly searching for highly experienced Project Managers with a sound understanding of all engineering disciplines (especially Mechanical), to join an internationally renowned, market leading designer and supplier in nuclear energy.
Collaborating to help develop a definition for each project, youll then ensure each project is delivered on time, to budget and effectively resourced, by managing relationships with a wide range of groups. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, youll also be managing the work of consultants, effectively allocating and utilising resources to help maintain a co-operative, motivated and successful team. As the business grows, a dedicated Project Team will develop, reporting directly to the Project Manager.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Manage the co-ordination of partners (i.e. customers and partner companies) and working groups engaged in project work.
2. Detailed project planning and control including: Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan, managing all deliverables Setting priorities for the Engineering Production and Engineering teams Recording and managing issues, escalating where necessary Resolving cross-functional issues at project level. Monitoring project performance, reporting progress to the Operations Director
3. Liaise with project board (MD, FD, Eng. Dir., Ops. Mgr.), providing updates as required
4. Manage project evaluation and dissemination activities.
5. Manage consultancy input within the defined budget.
6. Work closely with users to ensure the project meets business needs
Required Experience
7. 10+ years experience in a similar role managing multiple, multi discipline £50K-£K projects
8. Good understanding of all engineering disciplines with an emphasis on Mechanical
9. Qualified to MAPM and/or PMP status
10. Proficient in MS Project
11. Great communicator
12. Ability to manage and resolve issues, both internally (within teams) and externally
13. Hands on, get it done approach
