About the Role
We are currently recruiting compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Support Workers to work with children and young people across Liverpool and surrounding areas. This rewarding agency role involves supporting young people with a range of needs including:
Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
Learning Disabilities (LD)
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Leaving Care / Semi-Independent Living
You will work in residential homes, supported accommodation settings, and community environments, helping young people build independence, confidence, and positive life skills.
Key Responsibilities
Providing emotional and practical support to children and young people
Promoting independence, structure, and positive routines
Supporting with education, appointments, and daily activities
Managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
Building positive and trusting relationships
Maintaining accurate records and reports
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable young people at all times
Requirements
Minimum 12 months experience working with children or young people in a care/support setting
Experience supporting EBD, autism, LD, or leaving care preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Flexible approach to shifts and travel
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred
Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential
