The Role
As a Major Account Manager, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of high-value customers, ensuring their needs are met while driving growth and maximising revenue opportunities. This is a dynamic, relationship-led role where your ability to influence, negotiate, and deliver results will directly impact our continued market leadership.
You’ll be out in the field, working closely with customers, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring we remain their logistics partner of choice.
Key Responsibilities
* Build, manage, and develop strong relationships with major customers
* Create and execute a targeted sales plan and call cycle
* Identify and secure new growth opportunities within existing accounts
* Renegotiate agreements and deliver compelling customer proposals
* Ensure pricing compliance, fuel surcharge alignment, and annual rate increases
* Monitor customer performance, satisfaction, and potential risks
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless service and solutions
* Promote the DHL brand through professionalism and customer-centric behaviour
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and has a passion for sales and relationship management.
You will bring:
* Proven experience in a consultative sales role (2–3 years minimum)
* Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* A highly organised, self-motivated approach
* Confidence in managing and growing key client relationships
* Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into measurable results
Desirable:
* Experience in a service-led or logistics/parcel industry
* Background in managing segmented or major accounts
