Driver Hire Uxbridge are seeking a professional and skilled HGV Class 2 HIAB/Grab Driver to join our client, a leading builders' merchant in Southall UB2. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality service as the company expands.\n\n£36,250.00 + extra £1000.00 after 6 months (no absences / accidents / complaints etc) + quarterly branch bouses\n\n20 days + 5 days at Christmas and bank holidays\n\nMonday to Friday 07:00am to 16:30 + every other Saturday 08:00am to 12:00pm\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Operate a HIAB or grab lorry to deliver and collect roofing materials\n\n * Maintain the vehicle to high safety standards\n\n * Achieve operational targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)\n\n * Providing accurate daily information to enable an effective handover\n\n * Ensuring a safe and productive workplace where the Company’s legislative and commercial obligations are met.\n\n * Assist site staff with loading and unloading of materials\n\nIdeal Candidate:\n\n * Valid UK driving licence with Cat C\n\n * Valid HIAB certification\n\n * Valid Driver CPC and TACHO are essential\n\n * At least 2 years’ experience driving a Class 2 vehicle\n\n * Crane/HIAB knowledge is a plus but not essential\n\n * Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently\n\n * Good verbal and written communication skills\n\n * Customer-focused with a proactive attitude\n\n * Knowledge or experience of working in the roofing sector would be a bonus, but not essential\n\nThis is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team in a growing company.
