Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bid Writer to join our team.
You will be responsible for producing high-quality written content to support tender submissions, PQQs (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires), and framework applications.
Youll work closely with the estimating, commercial, and project delivery teams to ensure our bids are compelling, compliant, and competitive.
Key Responsibilities Prepare, write, and edit bid submissions for public and private sector clients.
Manage the end-to-end bid process in collaboration with the pre-construction team.
Research clients, projects, and sectors to tailor bids effectively.
Develop and maintain a library of standard responses, case studies, and supporting documents.
Ensure submissions comply with all client requirements and deadlines.
Support the wider business with written content for award submissions, capability statements, and marketing materials.
Conduct post-bid reviews and incorporate feedback to improve future submissions.
Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Bid Writer, ideally within construction or a related industry.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Strong understanding of tendering procedures and procurement frameworks.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
A proactive and collaborative approach.
Desirable Qualifications Degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, or Construction Management (or equivalent experience).
APMP or other bid/proposal writing accreditation is a plus.
Familiarity with construction-related terminology, JCT/NEC contracts, and Health & Safety standards.
