Role Overview
The Senior Surveyor will support the local authority in managing a diverse property portfolio, ensuring optimization and compliance with relevant legislation. The role includes asset management, financial oversight, property inspections, and negotiations to enhance asset value, reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities
* Support in developing asset management strategies and identifying under performing assets for improvement or disposal.
* Oversee asset management, including lease negotiations, renewals, rent reviews, and property inspections.
* Monitor service charge budgets, prepare accounts, and manage work orders and payments.
* Conduct property valuations for various purposes, including rent assessments, insurance, and capital estimates.
* Stay up to date with laws and best practices, ensuring compliance with local authority policies.
* Maintain asset data using management software and ensure statutory compliance.
* Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of the role.
Essential Qualifications
* Degree in Land Management or related field.
* Full Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
