Position
Residence Supervisor for EF (Education First) Oxford Brookes Summer School, summer 2026. Full‑time, 5 days a week, fixed‑term contract from 19 June to 10 August 2026. Accommodation and full board provided.
Responsibilities
* Constant presence at student reception during daytime to ensure smooth running of administration tasks, including preparing arrival information, organising keys, handling student queries.
* Follow up on attendance and welfare checks throughout the day in accordance with EF’s Safeguarding and Missing Student policies.
* Deal directly with residence supplier to resolve issues such as student lock‑outs, report maintenance issues as required.
* Ensure standards of rooms and quality of services are maintained by conducting weekly building and room checks.
* Provide the highest level of customer service at all times.
* Help maintain a cohesive team where different departments liaise and interact effectively and efficiently.
* Re‑allocate any last‑minute booking or changes within residential accommodation on internal allocation system.
* Liaise with external suppliers where cleaning/maintenance issues are reported.
* Ensure allocation information is accurate and sent on time.
* Assist with arrival & departure documents and preparation of keys for all arrivals.
* Ensure access to basic cleaning materials, spare bedding and readiness to perform essential emergency cleaning when required for unexpected arrivals.
* Follow up any disciplinary issues together with the Summer Residence Manager and ensure sanctions are applied in line with EF’s residence rules and regulations.
* Liaise with welfare team regarding any issues reported for residential students.
* Share emergency duty on a rota basis.
Requirements
* Team player who can lead from the front, be outgoing and have great attention to detail.
* Previous experience in a customer‑service environment, ideally working with young people and strong emotional intelligence.
* Passionate about customer service and providing quality.
* Ability to work under pressure and in a high‑paced environment.
* Mindset of going above and beyond, never settling for the status quo.
* Fluent in English.
* All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references.
* Right to work in the UK upon commencement of your contract.
