The board is seeking to employ a plumbing biased maintenance technician who will maintain building services for the Hospital, Hotel and associated areas and provide technical support to other departments as required on a 24/7 basis.
The post holder(s) will be part of a trained multi-skilled team interacting across electrical, mechanical and plumbing skills. They are responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor on operational matters and accountable to the Estates Mangers.
This is a rotating shift position three days on, three days off, three nights on, three days off.
The successful candidate will have served a recognised apprenticeship and hold relevant City and Guilds or equivalent qualification. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a wide knowledge of all trade skills utilised within the Healthcare built environment as they will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary workforce.
As the post holders will be working within a close knit team good interpersonal and communications skills are essential.
