We have a fantastic opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our Integrated Community Stroke Service (ICSS) within the South Somerset Team, delivering both inpatient and ongoing community stroke rehabilitation.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, including participation in bank holidays and weekend working. The exact working pattern will be agreed upon at the time of the appointment.
Main duties of the job
As the successful applicant, you will:
* Manage a clinical caseload of stroke patients.
* Lead and mentor Band 4 Assistant Practitioners and Rehabilitation Assistants.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, Nurses, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, and the Living Well After Stroke Team.
Some experience in stroke care is desirable, alongside excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will play a key role in supporting the development of the stroke service and ensuring high-quality care across the county.
You will be supported by the Band 6 Occupational Therapy team and a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist, with access to ongoing professional development opportunities.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Degree Qualification in OT
* HCPC registration
* Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT)
* Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio
Experience
* Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Experience of service development and review
Additional Criteria
* Access to regular transport with appropriate business insurance.
