Job Role: Buyer - FMCG/Retail
Location: Burnley (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience)

We’re looking for an experienced Buyer to join our growing Procurement team in Burnley.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly expanding business and industry, working within a small, hands-on buying team where your work will have real commercial impact.
In this hybrid role, you’ll manage supplier relationships, oversee stock planning, and drive purchasing strategy to ensure the business remains competitive and well-supplied. If you’re commercially minded, proactive, and ready to grow with a business that’s going places, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing, rebates and promotional support
* Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to access new products and innovations early
* Manage forecasting, ordering and stock availability across key categories
* Track supplier performance and present insights to support commercial decisions
* Find practical, commercial solutions for aged or slow-moving stock
* Ensure supplier and product documentation is accurate and compliant
* Collaborate closely with colleagues across the buying team to share knowledge and best practice
About You
* Proven experience in buying or procurement within FMCG, retail, or distribution
* Strong background in supplier management and commercial negotiation
* Confident analysing data and working with KPIs
* Strong Excel and reporting skills
* Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills
