Job Description
A friendly and supportive primary school in Penarth is looking to appoint a motivated Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support pupils both inside and outside the classroom. You will also be working in a Team Around the Child format with ALN students within the school.
This role would suit someone passionate about education and making a positive impact on children’s learning experiences.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils individually and in small groups
* Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
* Encouraging pupil confidence, independence, and engagement
* Supporting children with behavioural or additional learning needs
* Supervising pupils during activities and break times
Requirements:
* Experience working with children in a school, care, or youth setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Calm, positive, and adaptable approach
* A genuine passion for supporting young learners
