Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Quantity Surveyor specializing in groundworks and civil engineering, based in Uddingston. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee cost management for groundworks and civils projects. Responsibilities will include;
* Prompt presentation of all applications for payment, including all contractual entitlements.
* Identification and pricing of variations and additional works.
* Prompt presentation of Final Accounts, including negotiation of all contractual entitlements.
* Preparation of appropriate documentation in support of additional payment, variations, claims etc.
* Ensuring that payments are received in accordance with the contract terms.
* Ensuring that all contractual letters/ notices and information are presented in accordance with the contract requirements
* Preparation and presentation of Monthly Cost/Value Reconciliations and Final Cost/Value Forecasts.
* Assisting Contract Managers with the resourcing and procurement of sub-contractors, materials, plant etc.
* Financial and commercial management of Sub-contractors through to settlement of their Final Accounts.
* Commercial support to the site and contracts management team.
* Liaising with clients, main contractors, and other project stakeholders
* Liaising with operational management and advising on all matters relating to Contract and Commercial issues.
* Attending progress and other meetings as necessary to represent the company's interests.
* Mentor and support assistant quantity surveyor(s), fostering professional development within the team
Qualifications
* Minimum qualifications of HND Quantity Surveying
* A minimum of 5 years experience working for a civil engineering or groundworks contractor
* Excellent communicationskills
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and team members.
