Healthy Child Programme Assistant

To provide support and assistance to staff in the health care professional team team (including Health Visitors, School Nurses, Community Nursery Nurses) and other clinicians.
To work within clinic or community settings.
To undertake clerical duties and caseload administration for the team. This will include initial screening of calls from service users, partners and other professionals, and liaising with the Senior HCPA where needed. The post holder will be required to promptly answer telephone calls, resolve routine queries, and provide a high level of customer service, which will include signposting to relevant services prioritising urgent assessment when required.
Main duties of the job
Assisting the Senior HCPAs and clinicians with any delegated duties.
Signposting service users.
Office duties, i.e answering telephone calls, emails, using PAS.
Monitoring and ordering office supplies /PPE / health promotion material / IT equipment.
Working at various community clinic settings.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good functional literacy and numeracy
* Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent (passes at grades A-C)
Experience
* Understanding of confidentiality issues
* Knowledge of child development
Skills and Knowledge
* General office and clerical experience
* Working as part of a team
* Working with customers/clients/public
* Proven keyboard skills for word processing, use of electronic communication and databases
* Familiar with standard office software such as word, excel
* Ability to organize own workload, prioritise and work to deadlines
* Ability to travel to various locations around Tameside and Glossop
