We're seeking a strategic, hands-on Delivery Lead to take ownership of delivery management across all digital experiences within our Design and Research function. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the successful execution of a full digital portfolio in a complex, regulated financial environment.
In this role, you'll operate at both a strategic and tactical level-leading the planning, tracking, and delivery of design and research activities across all product tribes. You'll embed scalable delivery frameworks, manage cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure seamless alignment between product, engineering, marketing, and operations.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity to build and lead a high-performing delivery model for design. This includes overseeing supplier relationships, managing contracts and budgets, refining tooling, and ensuring our delivery practices are both repeatable and future-ready. As the function evolves, you'll also be instrumental in growing the delivery team, nurturing a high-performance culture, and aligning day-to-day work with our broader R&D and organisational vision.
What you'll be doing
Leading and managing the delivery of design and research projects across the organisation, ensuring timelines, dependencies and risks are proactively managed and that regulatory expectations are met.
Implementing and evolving Agile delivery processes and standards tailored to the design and research team.
Partnering with Design and Research leads and functional leads across the business to align team capacity with business demand and priorities.
Maintaining accurate forecasting of resource availability and proactively manage bottlenecks or gaps.
Working closely with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Engineering, Product, Risk, Legal, and Compliance to ensure delivery is aligned, visible, and appropriately governed.
Providing clear reporting and updates on progress, capacity, blockers, and budget usage to senior stakeholders.
Evaluating and introduce appropriate tooling for project tracking, workflow management, and reporting.
Working closely with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Engineering, Product, Risk, Legal, and Compliance to ensure delivery is aligned, visible, and appropriately governed.
Embedding robust documentation practices and delivery hygiene, supporting auditability and compliance.
Supporting the procurement and onboarding of external partners and suppliers, ensure appropriate scopes, contracts, and NDAs are in place.
Tracking and manage budget allocations across internal and external resources, aligning with finance processes.
Building strong delivery relationships across teams and influence delivery practices outside of design to support joined-up outcomes.
Acting as the operational conduit between design and other business functions to ensure smooth project initiation, execution, and close-out.
About you
Significant experience in digital delivery, project/program management or operations roles within complex or regulated organisations.
Strong understanding of design and research workflows and how they intersect with product, development, and marketing teams.
Experience of both agile and non-agile delivery and the ability to drive multiple concurrent projects at pace.
Experience establishing delivery processes and tools in a maturing or transforming environment.
Resilient with proven capability to prioritise, manage process and solve complex problems.
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional dependencies, communicate with clarity, and resolve delivery challenges.
Comfortable working with budget tracking, contract oversight, and supplier management.
Experience working within design or customer experience-led transformation programmes.
Background in both in-house and agency/studio settings would be an advantage.
Knowledge of financial services regulation, compliance considerations, and risk management is beneficial but not essential.
Interview Process
This will be a two stage interview process, including a 30 minute introductory chat, and a 90 minute competency interview with assessment task.
Working schedule
This role is based in our Bristol head office (BS1 5HL) and we offer a hybrid working pattern, with a minimum of two days in the office per week.
