We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Marketing Manager to join our team at our head office in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
Job Purpose
To plan, develop, and execute strategic marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
The Marketing Manager leads multi-channel campaigns, manages market research and analysis to identify opportunities, and ensures alignment between marketing activities and the company's business objectives.
This role bridges creative vision with commercial results, fostering collaboration across departments and maintaining a consistent brand voice for both the Nimlok and Conference Expo.
Nature and scope (including impact of decision-making):
* Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing strategies to meet company goals.
* Manage brand positioning, corporate identity, public relations, and digital marketing initiatives.
* Lead and develop the marketing team to deliver high-impact campaigns and communications.
* Collaborate across all departments to ensure message consistency.
* Translate market insights into actionable strategies that enhance customer engagement and sales performance.
* Manage marketing budgets, monitor performance metrics, and ensure positive ROI.
* Adapt marketing approaches to respond to changing trends, customer needs, and competitive conditions.
* Operate in a fast-paced environment requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Brand Management
* Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans aligned with company objectives.
* Plan and execute strategies to generate new sales leads, enhance customer retention, and drive up-sell opportunities, including managing the prospecting data programme.
* Hold responsibility for brand management, corporate identity, and PR, ensuring consistent messaging across all business communications. Flagging incorrect use as required.
* Contribute to the overall company strategy as part of a forward-looking, ambitious leadership team.
* Manage all marketing activities for both the Nimlok and Conference Expo brands.
Campaigns, Content & Events
* Create, develop, and deliver standout marketing campaigns, communications, and sales tools across all platforms.
* Produce high-quality marketing content including emails, blogs, web copy, white papers, and brochures, with strong emphasis on impactful copywriting.
* Plan, coordinate, and implement campaigns and company presence at high-profile events (e.g., Confex, B2B Marketing).
* Continuously evolve and enhance the company showroom to support brand experience.
Market Insight & Performance Tracking
* Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new opportunities and target audiences.
* Measure and report on the results and quality of lead generation activities.
* Monitor and analyze campaign performance, using insights to optimize future activity.
* Provide marketing reports and updates to the Managing Director and present at management and sales meetings.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
* Manage, train, and motivate the marketing team to deliver exceptional performance.
* Educate sales and broader teams from a marketing perspective to strengthen brand alignment.
* Maintain effective internal communications to keep all departments informed of marketing strategies and customer messaging.
* Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure delivery of high-quality marketing materials.
Budget & Partner Management
* Plan, manage, and control the annual marketing budget to maximize ROI.
* Manage relationships with external agencies, media partners, and suppliers.
* Support product launches with targeted marketing strategies and materials.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and industry stakeholders.
