Key Responsibilities Main Purpose of Job:
The primary purpose of this role is to leverage advanced, in-depth professional knowledge and acumen in financial planning and analysis.
This role is responsible to act as financial business partner to Research and Business Functions, providing them support in the financial aspects of their work; tracking actual spend against budgets and maintaining up-to-date forecasts.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver timely and accurate financial information, insights and reporting to enable assigned business area to make well-informed business decisions.
Act as primary point of finance contact for the Research and Business functions, providing hands-on support to these functions as necessary.
Calculate and lead monthly accrual process with Research and Business Functions, comply with SOX.
Drive regular (no less than monthly) meetings with budget owners to review spend on programmes, projects and CapEx.
Provide advice, support and challenge to support improved cost controls, compliance with internal controls and efficient resource allocation.
Actively engage, partner with and update key stakeholders.
Drive delivery of targets by supporting and challenging stakeholders through development and production of relevant metrics.
Provide financial modelling, budget appraisal and support to develop robust business cases which align to strategy and consider benefits and risk.
Own the annual budgeting process and re-forecasting exercises for the assigned area and contribute to the production of a rolling long-range plan.
Discuss Budget Holder reports with Budget owners on regular basis.
Provide monthly performance reports including variance analysis for the Group’s expenditure, to support group-level reporting to the Leadership Team.
Support the Financial Reporting team with programme progress information for the month end close process and comments.
Coordinate with the Financial Reporting team to ensure the accounting and planning systems are aligned with programmes and key cost categories. Ensure appropriate approval has been sought from the Director FP&A and Financial Controller for any changes.
Fully understand and keep track of the financial impact of the Group’s supplier external contracts, providing ad- hoc support at the pre-agreement phase where required to ensure Management and the Group are fully aware of financial obligations
Primary liaison on timesheet compliance, deliver timesheet compliance reporting.
Lead CapEx reporting and support Budget owners with management of CapEx spend.
Work with the relevant HR Business Partner to monitor, track and report on Research and Business Functions and UK headcount metrics as well as own overall PRE planning.
Supporting Finance Director FP&A in coordinating financial planning processes to Budget Holders.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the FP&A function by making proposals for process improvement to be considered for implementation.
Demonstrate subject matter expertise and knowledge of Immunocore’s financial policies and apply such knowledge to guide and influence as a business partner.
Develop and maintain knowledge of the Life Sciences industry.

Education, Experience and Knowledge:
Essential Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience; or equivalent experience.
ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent (E)
Essential Experience
Demonstratable finance systems and process analysis experience
Experience of collaborating with cross-functional colleagues on financial matters and projects
Advanced knowledge and usage of MS Excel
Experience of using ERP/Accounting Systems
Proven track record of process improvement
Preferred Experience:
Industry experience within a high-tech, fast growing organisation
Experience of using NetSuite and Oracle EPM software
